Some years ago it was felt that there was a need for large annual community event encompassing all ages and interests. The idea was suggested that we establish a Fair based on the event held each year when Monifieth was young - the middle ages.

This fair, known then as St Rules Fair, or Trewell's Fair was traditional in that it offered stalls to buy and sell food, materials, and provide entertainment for local people. Our Fair has the same idea but has been brought up to date, we don't sell live hens and ducks.
